US Peacekeeper Camping Backpack Selection
Had a little trouble finding it in stock except at Camping Gear Outlet. I bought this for Colorado archery Elk. Two different trips, this pack was great. I was able to strap my tree climber to it no problem, took about 2 minutes to strap it on and unstrap it. it easily carried all my gear, with comfort. At one point I packed in 8 miles then back out. The Traverse is comfortable, durable, light, versatile, I can't say enough good things about it.
I use these when fishing tournaments to keep my most frequently used tackle right on my hip. Two other brands I've tried have busted zippers or torn seams after just a couple months. I've been using this one for three months now and it's holding up nicely. Light weight, well constructed, plenty of room, an excellent value for a very small price.
I purchased the Alps Outdoorz Traverse Pack for the upcoming archery season. What a great pack! The many pockets allow me to stow my gear with out having to search for what I need or emptying the pack to get that small item that worked its way to the bottom. The bow holder not only secures my bow but protects it, the meat carrier has plenty of straps to secure my load, This thing has more padding on the waist belt and shoulder than any pack I've seen, its fully adjustable so no matter how Big or small you are it will fit comfortably., and it is very comfortable. I do wish the rain fly came in camo or double sided. The price just over $100 was great, about half what others packs of this quality. I will be writing a follow up review after archery season.
Bought this Pack and Frame and used it for a Hike Out Deer Hunt, it holds all the stuff I needed for this week in the north woods. Performed exceedingly well and is somewhat water resistant, but I would suggest placing clothing into zip lock bags to help keep them dry.
This looks like a very good item. I might rate it higher, but I have not had the opportunity to use it.
The pack is very high quality construction and is perfect for fast packing using ultra light gear. The adjustments make it very comfortable to wear all day. The torso adjustments could be a bit longer.
The pack is great! I went on a 11 mile 2 day hike and the pack held all that I needed plus i had x-tra room. It was very supportive, didn't bother my back, and rode very nice. I would recommend this pack to any hiker......
I bought this pack to use for lightweight 3-season overnight trips. I can comfortably carry 20 lbs with this pack. I can stuff a light 40F sleeping bag, lightweight 2-man tent, small cooking kit, and my clothes inside the main compartment. All the miscellaneous small things, tent poles, and items that you want readily accessible go in the other pockets, with some room to spare. I did find that I can't comfortably carry a 1-liter Nalgene water bottle in a waist belt sling like I do with my other pack. With this pack, that puts the bottle in line with my elbow. Because of this, I have purchased a 2L hydration bladder to start carrying my water inside the pack. The quality is good. The materials seem to be durable, the seams look to be well-sewn, and I am impressed with the quality of the zippers and pulls that are used. They all have nice pulls, which makes them easily usable without removing your gloves.
