We used this coffee percolator for 8 days, camping in the Adirondacks. It worked great! The coffee perked in no time at all and we learned after two times, just how dark we wanted it to be to suit everyone. The only thing I would recommend is using the paper filters designed for these percolators. It made clean-up much easier!

It is a very nice coffee pot for the price. The stem for the coffee basket is a little weak so it must be handled carefully. I used the pot for two weeks in the woods of northern Wisconsin while deer hunting and it made great coffee on a stove or fire.

We were happy with the percolator! The only problem noted was if you allowed it to boil too hard the grounds ended up in the bottom of the percolator and you had 'cowboy coffee'.

I love my new percolator, but I feel it may not last very long. The long tube of the interior seems rather flimsy. I have used it for camping for the past 6 weeks. I'm not sure if it will last all summer.

We have used one like this for years for winter camping. We don't use the percolator, just the kettle. Fill it with ice water or snow, hang it from a tripod over the fire and presto, hot water.
