Customer Reviews: Grizzly 84" Long Big Cot with Carry Bag, GreenAverage Customer Review: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() S S. from TexasThe only reason I rated this a 5 is because you didn't offer a 10 star rating. what a cot! I have back problems, and camping usually means a bad night - not with this cot. I woke as refreshed as sleeping in my own bed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Steve P. from Natchez, MSWe used the cots this weekend and found them to be well constructed. We are very pleased with every area of our dealings with your company. Thanks for a job well done! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jim B. from Monroe, LAGood size for my frame (6', 220 lbs). Sleeps comfortably. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Debbie A. from Oswego, ILThe cots are great! My teenage son is over 6 foot tall, so the extra length makes sleeping comfortable. I also love the fact that it is so compact and portable. I would definitely recommend this product. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rich M. from Phillipsburg, NJAlthough I haven't had the chance to try it out in an actual camping situation, I did set it up in my living room to try it out. It's a bit tricky to put this together, but once assembled it is very comfortable with enough room for even my xl camping buddy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ed S. from Livermore, CAIt's tough to put together but, once together, it's better than other cots I've used. I initially purchased it for my wife to use while helping out a daughter with a new grand baby. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Roger P. from Solsberry, INAs a solo motorcycle camper, I've been battling air mattresses and foam protectors for years. The 84" Grizzly Big Cot is more than sturdy enough for a 220 lb, 6' 2" male and folds to a single parcel for traveling. Now I sleep like a baby, never needing to think about rocks and/or pine cones causing discomfort. As an added bonus, there's even room for additional storage for shoes, radio, and other items underneath my body while I sleep. I absolutely love this cot. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() John D. from San Antonio, TXLarge, strong, packs into a small package, sets up easily and sleeps well. I took it on a camping trip to Alaska and it was perfect. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gloria B. from Jacksonville, FLI tried it out this past weekend on our camp out in Georgia. The cot was great. As a woman who is nearly 6 feet tall, I have struggled with feet hanging over the edge for quite a while. This cot was very comfortable. It’s great. Light weight, and actually fits easily back into the original bag (quite a treat) most stuff you purchase never fits back into the bag easily. This cot is great for tall people, quite roomy if your a little on the wide side as well. Overall, I love this cot - if you are 6 feet or taller definitely you should get it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Joe F. from Phoenix, AZIt was just the right length! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bob D. from Latrobe, PAThe cot is very comfortable and easy to haul! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Roger P. from Solsberry, INWe bought our second Big Grizzly for the spouse this year. My one year old cot has been set up approximately 50 times and still holds my 230 lb frame for a good night's sleep. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gloria B. from Jacksonville, FloridaGreat Cot - It’s definitely long enough and light weight. This one is low (may be a problem for some) For me, it was just fine, just high enough to keep you off the ground and give you a place to put your shoes. It is a great cot - I just wish the assembly was a little easier. Hey, it actually easily fits back in the original bag. That is a real treat! If you tall – Get this cot! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Joe M. from Washington, DCThis is a great buy. This makes two of these I have now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Karl B. from Chicago, ILEasy to assemble, light and very comfortable. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() David C. from Washington, DCThe cot arrived right on time. I used it for the first time this weekend and the cot set up took about 3 minutes. The cot is long and wide enough to support a 6ft.+ man easily. The cot is super comfy with lots of room to reposition yourself through the night. The low design is perfect for smaller tents where headroom is an issue. For the money, this cot is the way to go! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() David C. from Washington, DCThe cot arrived on time, was easy to set up, and the over sized stuff bag is great due to all the pieces. I recommend setting it up at home to get the hang of it. It's tricky at first, but you quickly get the hang of it. After that, setting it up in the field takes under 5 minutes. Keep in mind - you don't want to backpack in the back country with this cot, it does get heavy. Short hikes (<10 miles) no issues. I've had it out three times so far. First time - awesome. Best night sleep outdoors in a long time. Second time out, not as much. I didn't use a pad and I noticed I was hitting the ground. I am 6'2", 190lbs so I'm not overly large for the cot. When I got broke it down, I noticed 3 of the legs were bent at the bends. I straighten them out, and on the third camp out, with a pad and straight legs, the experience was awesome. However, the legs did buckle again and I had to straighten them out. Soon they will break from the constant bending so I'm rotating them out of the weigh bearing areas and relegating them to the ends. This is a great cot for the price and comfy. They need to reinforce the legs in future versions. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dave S. from Tustin, CAI've had experience with 3 of these cots. The first met all my expectations. The second was returned because it was the wrong color and because it was not well made. The third was made with different cloth material than the first and didn't fit as well, but was acceptable. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Carol & Mike G. from Melbourne, FLIt's Monday, December 29 and we just returned from our After-Christmas camping trip. This was the first time using our new cots. We love them! Very comfortable--easy to assemble. Well-made! We are very pleased! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() John E. from Albuquerque, NMThis is a great price and a fine cot if you want a lower-height unit. It is 9x32x84 inches assembled, heavy nylon-like material coated on the bottom with waterproofing. Holds a full sized sleeping bag, capacity 300 pounds, weights about 11 pounds in the rugged & spacious storage bag. May be a bit heavy for backpacking. Bought 3 - all are fine. Daughter is 16 and slept on one for a week at home while sick (to avoid the upper bunk bed climb) - said it was "Almost as comfortable as my bed." I tried one for 5 minutes and almost fell asleep. Easier to assemble (than using your thumb per instructions) if you hold it on its side and "lean" on the lower braces to pop them into the sockets, being careful not to lean too hard and permanently bend the legs. May be a bit squeaky as the material (undercoating) rubs against the aluminum rods when new but gets quieter with break-in/wear. Highly recommended! Enjoy! (Thanks for the fine product!) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Daniel W. from West Lebanon, NHIt has a good length but was difficult for me to assemble. It is too low to the ground for me too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cj W. from Baltimore, MDI bought two of these cots to use for tents for camping this year. We have used them on two multi-night camps so far. My 110 lb son and I (215lb) thought they were very comfortable. Pros: This cot is very comfortable to sleep on. Its legs are gentle on the tent floor. They have a simple and strong design with good weight distribution. Cons: It takes adult strength to assemble. You wouldn’t want to send your kid off to camp with it because they probable would not be able assemble it by their self. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dawn S. from Albuquerque, NMThis is very large and a great price! All you need is a pillow and a blanket and your ready to go! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ted J. from Camino, CAI bought 2 of these cots. I zip tie them together and put my queen airbed on top. My wife is very happy! The cots are very sturdy and are comfortable as a single bed as well. I love the spaciousness! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Paul C. from Fairfax, CAI'm six feet tall and I had plenty of room for my full size pillow and my feed did NOT hang over the end of the bed. I had plenty of room and found the bed to be very comfortable. When we camp we have only encountered rain on one occasion and puddles formed on the bottom of my tent. My mattress and sleeping bag will stay nice and dry next time this happens since I will be six inches up off the ground. Knowing that makes me sleep even better! Great cot! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Annie P. from Ann Arbor, MIIt was a bit difficult trying to get the legs into the respective holes. But after that it was great to sleep on. Plenty of room to turn over and adjust your body. It didn't feel like the confined sleeping that one usually associates with camping. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Faye K. from Spokane, WAThe cot sleeps wonderfully well, packs small, and good construction. My problem with it, is that without my husbands strong arms to attach the legs to the cot - the cot would be worthless to me as there is no way that I can put it together! I worked 45 minutes, trying to get the legs on, before giving up. Both my husband and son in law struggled with attaching the legs. If it were just me I would return the cot. Dissembling it took some juggling to find the right "release" tension. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fawn H. from Las Vegas, NVIt is comfortable, sturdy, and compact for storage. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Linda M. from Loveland, COThe cot was comfortable, roomy and lightweight. I suggest one practices ahead of time especially if putting it together in the dark. I used it on the sandy banks of the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon and had practiced with it at home. I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. Good sleep, no bugs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mindy C. from Peachtree, GAI was very disappointed in the cot. It is not easy to assemble. It is difficult to attach the supports. In fact, one of the supports arrived with a crimp in the metal making it very difficult to attach. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dave S. from Indianapolis,INThe Big Grizzly is an excellent buy for portable, fold-up, carry-along cot. It is sturdy (as long as you don't jump on it)and comfortable for a week long camping trip. There is a competitor out there that I also purchased, same design but must less sturdy metal legs and fabric, it did not hold up as well. The legs split and it is now in the trash heap. After that experience I bought another Big Grizzly. |
