Customer Reviews: Sportz Full Size SUV TentAverage Customer Review: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Patricia D. from Columbia, MDI found it extremely easy to set up this very functional tent. The details of clever design indicate how thoughtful someone was when putting this tent together. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Laurie A. from New Orleans, LAI love the tent. It is very spacious and fits perfectly to the rear of my suburban. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tamara S. from Washington, D.C.Have used it on one camping trip so far -- loved it. Withstood a couple of thunderstorms and high winds with no leaks. Surprised me because of the tiny fly. Taller than I imagined which is nice. Fits my Honda Element pretty well. Do wish it fit even better or was more adjustable. I augmented with mosquito netting and worried a bit about chipmunks (or a skunk!)getting in and am taking two dogs camping this weekend and need to feel confident that they can't get out if they hear some irresistable wildlife nearby. All in all, great concept and execution. Good value. Reminds me of growing up and going on family camping trips with a 1968 VW pop-top camper van and side-attaching VW tent. Great concept then, great now. Am very happy with the Sportz SUV tent. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Richard V. from La Crosee, WIMet all of my expectations ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tim And Terri W. from OhioWe camp in our full size van. We spent a week camping with the tent. We liked the attachment to the van. It doubled the space and provided a storage space for all our gear and provided a standup space to dress in. We had a strong thunderstorm while we were touring and came back to a dry interior. We like the compact package when stored in the provided duffle bag. I believe there was a lot of thought in designing and manufacturing the tent. We are very satisfied with the tent. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Duane M. from Florence, ORWhile this tent purports to fit-all; it doesn't. Additional straps to fit the wheel wells on the popular Dodge pickup, whith shell, are required. As it turns out I will have to fabricate something myself so that the sock attachment can be made to work. Otherwise, the product appears to be sturdy and well designed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Carolyn G. from Aptos, CAI was so happy to get m new SUV tent! I packed up the dog and went camping the next day! The tent was easy to set up - even by myself and attached to my Durango easily. I really liked being able to leave the tent set up and take my truck to town. I can't wait to take it out again and am planning to purchase more accessories (cots, storage crates and a step stool to start)to make my tent even more comfortable. Thanks for a great product. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tom & Leslie H. from Albany, ORNice tent. As I wrote Napler, once you unpack the tent from it's bag you'll never get it back in. Maybe they will correct that. The seams leaked in a lite rain. It would be nice if they were sealed, at least those in and around the floor. I WOULD buy it again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Paul W. from Parker, AZComplicated to set up, door zipper broke 3rd use, one pole socket split 1st use, vehicle sock rubbed through and tore on one corner in windstorm, wished I would of bought a regular tent. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Greg J. from North Fond Du Lac, WIIt would get five stars if it went up by itself. It does go up easy. There is plenty of room for camping gear and has very good ventilation. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Laura S. from Gold Beach, ORIt looks like a very nice tent. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Julia R. from Houston, TXThis tent is well made with easy directions to follow for construction. Great headroom due to the high pitch. We did not attach it to our SUV, no comment on that feature. I can't give it 5 stars without knowledge of how well the SUV sleeve works, but it is an all around great tent. We camped for 1 month, 5800 miles across the country, pitching it nightly on location. It sets up quick and easy. We experienced no problems and the rain fly kept us dry. Good zippers and pack bag. Great screened views (large windows for good air circulation). Happy camping! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nicole N. from Panama City, FLWe were 110% pleased with our SUV tent. It was easy to set up and there was so much room! I would suggest you purchasing an air mattress for your vehicle (even if you think you can manage, trust me it will make a difference in your trip, getting a comfortable nights rest). A wonderful purchase and we are so excited about our next trip to use it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Carol G. from Texarkana, TXThis is a great tent. It made an "extra bedroom" for us on a recent camping trip. Attached to our 2001 Suburban w/no problem. I highly recommend this product. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sue E. from AustraliaNot tested out the tent yet, but have put it up and connected it to the van. The sleeve is a bit tight and we can't extend the van back door to be fully up. Also the tight fit across the top of the back of the van makes the sides of the sleeve gape out at the bottom - small gap each side approx 3" wide by 6" long. However I'm sure we can get over this (I'm hoping the sleeve elastic will stretch a bit with use!). No complaints about the tent tho; good product overall. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Benita M. from Bar Harbor, MEI love the concept! It fit like a glove and let us have lots of space. The second time we put it up, one piece in the upper right pole caught the sleeve and ripped it. I need to now how to repair as tear is at a seam on tent. I want to continue using this summer as it is such a great addition! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lori Lynn S. from Hebron, INAfter many winter-time months of searching for an SUV Tent, I finally decided on this one. It was definitely a great purchase! We went prepared to spend a long time going through the directions and putting it up the first time, but it went up very quickly and easily. What a difference it makes after using just my SUV as a "camper" for the last several years! The 3rd day, severe thunder storms came through, and that night we were side-swiped by a tornado. The tent remained dry the entire time, and with the flex poles the tent just bent in with the tremendous winds and popped right back into shape. I couldn't believe it did not blow down, tear, or become detached/damaged in any way. The next morning there were other tents destroyed, trees down, wind damage everywhere - but my SportZ tent stood like nothing happened. The only problem I have is with the directions. There are a lot of straps and hooks that are unexplained. They seem to be for containing the sock if you pull away from the tent for awhile and do not want to totally remove it (has a zipper all the way around to remove completely) but nothing tells you how they go together or what they are used for. They obviously were not needed for the tent to function, but I'd like to know what they were intended for... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pierre-yves F. from Prevost, QCThe tent for the mini-van is exactly what we are expected. Delivery was very fast, in next 2 days. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Brian E. from New HampshireI really liked the tent, and being able to attach it to my vehicle made it seem bigger. We had a great time on our first trip. We can not wait to go again. |
