This is not only one my best camping purchases it is one my best overall purchases. I don't say enough positive things about this item. I've used this truck tent in some very severe conditions, high wind and heavy rain. In both cases the tent held up perfect.

I really like this truck tent! It weathered 50 mph winds the first night out and stayed tightly cinched. The fabric doesn't stretch as tightly over the tailgate as I would like, but that doesn't affect performance much.
First time setting it up in the driveway took about 45 minutes. After initial set up, it only takes about 15 minutes, even in high wind. TIP: Loosen all straps before you begin initial set up. That would be a very helpful first step in the instructions.
I looked at other truck tents that were garish colors or dark fabric (which would get terribly hot). I believe this is the most attractive and best designed truck tent.

After the first use of the truck tent (done in the dark) set up was much easier. I suspect that set up would be easier yet if a second person helped. The tent offers much more space than a typical dome tent. I especially appreciated the extra height. I am very satisfied with this product.

This truck tent was pretty easy to set up, we even managed to get it set up for the first time in the dark using only a flashlight. It was easier the second time once we knew what we were doing and we had the straps adjusted to fit our F250. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that there could have been improvement made on how easy it is to insert the rods into their sleeves. You almost need two people to do this part because they get stuck part way along and so it helps to have another person to keep them moving through. It was very roomy inside - we actually put a full size innerspring mattress in the bed of the truck and it was the most comfortable night of sleep I've ever had when camping!
