Pour coffee into the refillable holder, put on the compacting cover, and insert it in your pod coffee maker. Brew to the strength of your choice. I love that I can use any coffee I choose, so the flexibility is great. The shutoff doesn't work automatically with the MyPod. Having to watch the pot is a bummer.

The item really was not too useful. After about a week of terrible coffee, I went back to the items that came with the unit originally. I am even considering buying another unit, thinking that perhaps I did not use it correctly because (stupid me), I threw the directions away! I am sorry, I hoped that it would be a solution, but alas, No.
