I was a commercial chef for 15 years, so I'd like to think I know a little something about kitchen wares. I was looking at Calphalon sets, and couldn't justify the expense at this time. I found this set of cookware, did some research for complaints and reviews, and also knew that Sunbeam is a reputable company. They arrived very quickly, and upon first inspection was very pleased. What drew me to them in the first place was that the handles were bolted to the pot, as opposed to screwed in--which in time, always ends up with the handles loosening and the screws stripping. After using them, I was not disappointed, but even more pleased. They heat evenly and quickly. They wash up nicely, as they are non-stick. I view this purchase as the best value for my money that I've had in ages. You can't beat the price--and the level of quality you get is definitely in the consumer's favor. I highly recommend this set of cookware to everyone from the novice to the experienced. Just don't use metal utensils, ever. It'll ruin the finish, rendering them half useless.
