It is an essential component. The hose management is difficult any other way. However, this good idea needs refinement. The hose can easily slip off the end of the curved section at the top. That's easy to remedy but it should be designed with a retainer in the first place.

Good concept but a little short for me. I had to order 2 extra poles to make it tall enough for my 5' 11" self.
