I have used these for years and love it for making tea. They only last so long and the gasket will fail. My only complaint is the location of the start button on this newer model. Now condensation from the lid falls on the start button every time you lift the lid to put water in. I guess if you wiped it out each time that wouldn't happen, but who wants to remember to do that.
