Our red squirrel was totally frustrated by the feeder, and it was ignored by the birds until I let the other feeders sit empty for a week. Then the chickadees were brave enough to go through the outside wire and were followed by the juncos. Now that the other feeders have been refilled, the suet is again ignored.
