The frame of the Tent Cot is constructed with lightweight yet durable tubular aluminum. The frame is assembled with anti-vibration aluminum nuts and bolts that won’t loosen over time and won’t rust. The “tent” portion of the Tent Cot is constructed with quality features you would expect to find in a high-end tent product. The shell is constructed with durable 420-denier nylon fabric and features interior No-see-um mesh doors and windows that open on all four sides. With the outer nylon doors zipped open and the interior No-see-um mesh doors zipped closed, the Tent Cot is 100 percent insect proof and provides 360° air flow for use in warm climates. The durable one- piece Cordura nylon-fabric sleeping surface is firm and level.

Absolutely brilliant.I liked the protection from insects but also the ability to open all vents to circulate fresh air. It saves heaps of time in assembly and packing up. Easy to pack up and stow away. Heaps of wraps.

This is a pretty solid cot and the tent is durable as well. I set it up and over a foot of snow fell on it before the roof caved in. When the roof gave, none of the parts that held it up broke so I was able to set it up again and it works fine. Very durable for what I just put it through and I would definitely trust it for car camping.

The tent cot is completely assembled, sturdily made, and thoughtfully designed. I believe it will provide many years of service. It came with a carrying bag, also sturdily made and easy to use. This oversized version is larger in both directions, and has enough head clearance to sit up comfortably. The extra length, in our case, can be used to stash stuff or provide room for one of the dogs to curl up.
The tent cot folds up, and can be easily stowed behind the seat in a pickup truck.

The Kamp Rite Tent Cot can be quickly and easily set up by anyone, anywhere. It is comfortable, has a compact foot print, and the zippers (doors on both sides) work smoothly. I did have a problem when one of the plastic clips that hold the tent to the frame broke immediately. It is a sewn-through attachment, so replacing it is not an option. I ended up wiring it together. I would like to see the clips made of a less brittle material with more flex. Also, the instructions are pretty vague. I slept in mine for a week, and found it sturdy, comfortable, and very easy to enter and exit. I would definitely buy another, and would rate it a "5" if the plastic clips were not so vulnerable to breakage and could be easily replaced. However, don't let that stop you from getting one! The quick, easy set-up is a joy after struggling with tents of all makes and sizes for many years. Now I can just throw it in the car and be off!
