I bought this item for two reasons. I wanted to give my son a tool that I knew from experience to be useful and I wanted to buy an American made product. I didn't really expect to find the tool that I had grown to appreciate back in the 50s or if I did, I didn't expect it to be of the original quality that I remembered.
