The Gerber Axes are the toughest axes on the market today. The Gerber Back Paxe has forged steel head for durability and superior edge retention combined with a unique handle made from Polymid Fiberglass that is virtually indestrucable. The handle is injection molded around the axe head to guarantee never to separate or come loose. The Back Paxe Axe is covered by Gerbers' limited Lifetime warranty.

In 1939 Joseph Gerber hired a local knife maker to build 25 sets of kitchen cutlery to be given as Christmas gifts. The knives were so popular that Joseph Gerber left his advertising agency to start Gerber Legendary Blades®.
