Works great. Only suggestion would be just tie the lines to a weight such as half house brick or a stone. This makes for easy placement of the lines as the spring/nail anchors get pulled out easily.

This is the 2nd Halo I've bought. I'm very happy with the results. It really does work to keep house sparrows off the feeder. They are not made for tube feeders, so I had to rig it up to work for my tube feeder. The bending I did ended up breaking the welded parts over the course of the winter, so my first one only lasted one season. BUT, it worked well, so I bought another one. I shortened the line to only 3 feet though, as there was no need to have it go all the way down to the ground.

So far so good. Only one male in my resident house sparrow flock seems able to overcome his discomfort with the wires circles and fishing line (the wire circles alone did not keep them away). I also note that I have had no squirrel attacks, even though it is an easy jump for them from a nearby tree. It is harder to know if it is keeping other birds away also, particularly since we have had a lot of snow since I installed it. I am getting mostly juncos, some chickadees and blue jays, plus song & white-throat sparrows which I have not had in the garden before. I am hopeful that this will keep working.
