This is a fast and easy way to get an abused edge back in shape. Does not clog like regular stones. Follow with the fine diamond stone for a razor edge.

It works fine I needed it to work on Damascus Steel which I found difficult starting on only a fine stone. I worked on the Coarse first and it made a huge difference.
