Optics tripods of optics stands are tools that are used to support the use of traditional optics. They are commonly used to hold telescopes and binoculars. Because of the optical magnification, any small movements are greatly exaggerated when viewing an object via optical tools. A tripod holds the optics steady to reduce this problem.
