Artline Cardinal Feeders

Cardinals are among North America's most popular songbirds. They are robust, seed-eating birds, with strong bills. They are typically associated with open woodland. The sexes have distinctive appearances. Male cardinals are known by their brilliant red feathers and majestic crested heads. Female cardinals sport a more subtle dull reddish color. Their nests are loosely woven in tall bushes such as honeysuckle and rose, and their diet includes seeds and small berries.

Cardinals are very eager to dine at almost any available bird feeder, and typically dine early in the morning and late in the evening. They prefer stationary cardinal bird feeders that are about 5-6 feet above the ground, rather than hanging bird feeders. Sunflower seeds are like filet mignon to a Cardinal. They will sift through the entire mixture of birdseeds to get to every sunflower seed before eating the other seeds.
